Workforce Planning and Systems Manager

City FM Australia (City) provides world-leading facilities management and engineering solutions that ensure safe, successful and sustainable outcomes for our partners, our business partners are large retailers, fast food and childcare centres.


Reporting to the General Manager, People Service & Systems, you will work collaboratively with all business units within City FM to develop workforce plans and rosters which are best practice and commercially focused; ensuring the best possible people management outcome across the company in Australia and New Zealand. You will also lead the analysis of any future workforce management and design rostering requirements for new business.

Simultaneously, you will oversee the operational use of Dayforce (CityHub) with focus on compliance, data management, process improvement, release management, configuration maintenance and testing and act as a subject matter export between Dayforce and the rest of the business.


This is a small team and requires a hands-on approach.


Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Ensure all data in the HRIS system is accurate and meets legislative requirements and company policy.
  • Support the business in planning and development of strategic workforce planning.
  • Lead the development of workforce management metrics, dashboard, reporting and analytics to deliver meaningful data and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through enhancements, whilst leveraging system capabilities.
  • Manage data integrity, confidentiality and accuracy in the system.
  • Ensure that the system is configured for each new business partner from organizational structure, jobs & positions to rostering and payroll.
  • Support Human Resources in the implementation of new Enterprise Bargaining Agreements / Awards and other industrial relations matters and that the system has been configured to support changes.
  • Manage and maintain policies and procedures around Rostering and workforce management.
  • Upskill City team members on the system, processes and procedures.
  • Manage the Team and develop individual and team performance to the highest standard.

To be considered for this role you will have / be:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or business-related discipline)
  • Previous experience in an HCM / WFM or HRIS Analyst role of a minimum of 5 Years
  • Experience with roster efficiency and payroll outcomes
  • Previous experience in implementation projects and data migration mapping and execution
  • Previous experience in the development and execution of test cases scenarios and test cases for Functional, System and UAT testing
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills and the ability to influence
  • Knowledge of testing tools, advanced excel and reporting capabilities
  • In depth knowledge of EBA/Award (mandatory)
  • An excellent communicator, with exceptional attention to detail
